Positioned immediately outside Wimbledon Station, this large-format banner installation occupied one of the busiest pedestrian routes leading to the Championships. Installed just ahead of the tournament, it formed a striking first impression for hundreds of thousands of visitors making their way to the All England Club.

What made this installation particularly unique was the curved nature of the structure. While the sweeping design created a far more dramatic visual statement than a traditional flat banner, it also introduced significant technical challenges. The graphics had to be carefully designed, printed and installed so they remained visually accurate and impactful from multiple viewing angles. Every section required precise tensioning and alignment to ensure the artwork flowed seamlessly around the curve without distortion, wrinkles or misalignment.

With an exceptionally high volume of foot traffic and the pressure of a fixed event deadline, meticulous planning and flawless execution were essential. The team worked efficiently within a constrained urban environment, carefully managing pedestrian safety while minimising disruption to local businesses and commuters. Every element of the installation was completed to an exacting standard, ensuring the banner delivered maximum visual impact from the moment spectators emerged from the station.

The finished installation created a bold and memorable gateway to the Championships. The combination of its impressive scale, distinctive curved form and flawless finish ensured it stood out from every approach, capturing attention, enhancing the event atmosphere and showcasing the client’s branding at one of the most prominent locations in Wimbledon.
